At Monkey Puzzle Grange Road, one of Cambridge’s warmest and most welcoming day nurseries, even our youngest children enjoy days full of discovery. In our baby room, learning begins with the senses, and our little ones recently set off on a Down in the Jungle adventure, exploring the natural world through touch, sound and play.
Exploring the Jungle Through Natural Materials
Singing along to “Down in the Jungle”, the children met a host of wild animals and got hands-on with a range of natural materials, including bark, sand, water and leaves. They touched, looked and played, following their own curiosity as they discovered new textures and sensations. It was a wonderful session of open-ended, sensory-rich play, exactly the kind of gentle, engaging experience our baby room is built around.
