Magic starts here! At Monkey Puzzle Grange Road, our Cambridge day nursery, our little explorers put their imaginations to work cooking up a very special recipe: magical dinosaur soup.
Pouring, Mixing and Stirring (Spiders Included)
The children poured, mixed and stirred all sorts of ingredients, including flowers, cornflour, cinnamon and cocoa powder, creating the most colourful and exciting mixtures. Of course, no dinosaur soup would be complete without a few spiders thrown in! Once their creations were ready, the children loved serving them up to the dinosaurs.
Why Messy, Imaginative Play Matters for Your Child
Play like this is packed with learning. The different textures and scents of cornflour, cinnamon and cocoa bring the senses to life, while pouring and stirring build the hand control behind fine motor skills.
