The children explored the journey of a butterfly, starting from its earliest stages right through to adulthood.
We began by discussing where caterpillars live and how long they usually stay snug in their cocoons, which can be anywhere from 5 to 21 days. This counting activity not only helped the children with their sequencing skills but also introduced them to some new vocabulary.
Then, we took a closer look at the butterfly life cycle, focusing on each stage of development: from egg to larva, then to caterpillar, and finally blossoming into a beautiful butterfly.
